Obligations and Goals of Oak Lawn Rotary Membership

Rotary is about giving, not getting.  Do not think about joining Rotary if you are looking to get something that will benefit you or your business such as clients, sales, etc.  Join Rotary to give back to the community, the nation, and the world.  In that effort, you will gain immensely.  Everything will fall into place. Doing the right thing will bring the right results.

 

•  100% attendance ( which includes make-up meetings at other clubs or Rotary functions) with a bare minimum of

   50%.

•  Interact with all members at meetings.  Rotate tables.

•  Suggest at least one new member candidate every year.

•  Arrive at meetings on time and make every effort to stay for the full program.

•  Participate in all club projects.  Attend all possible club activities outside the regular Monday meeting.

•  Give suggestions to program chairperson for quality speakers.

•  Attend an Oak Lawn Rotary Board Meeting.

•  Participate in annual club fundraising, selling all raffle tickets.

•  Pay your dues on time at the beginning of each quarter.

•  Bring your spouse or significant other to a club meeting.

•  Serve on at least one committee during the year.

•  Volunteer to be a committee chairman.

•  Attend the District 6450 District Assembly.

•  Attend the Rotary 6450 District Conference.

•  Become a Rotary International Foundation Annual Donor ($30 per quarter).

•  Set a goal to attend an International Convention!  You will not regret it!!!

•  Be enthusiastic!  Learn about Rotary.  Get active.  Share your ideas with the club.  Talk to other Rotarians.

•  Make it a goal to become a Paul Harris Fellow!
